VISITING WITH LANE & BLAKE

QUOTE IF THE DAY: (courtesy of Butchy and Snickers)

"A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance, and to turn around three times before lying down." --- Robert Benchley

Hi friends,

Hope every doggie, kitty, hammie and your humans are having a wonderful, if not sweltering hot, weekend. What started out as a boring weekend turned into a fun Saturday morning visiting with Mommy's great nephews at my Aunt Pam and Uncle Sonny's house. Their Mom and Dad went on vacation and the boys are staying with their grandparents until they get back.

Mommy said we had to go get the oil changed and find out why the engine light wouldn't go off on my car. Well 2 hours and $476.00 later, it turned out be a bad sensor. So much for the June bonus Mommy got.

Mommy & I got to the dealership bright and early. I love going there because I have a bunch of friends there, that always come over and play with me and they always have treats for me. They have a playroom and if there are any kids there I get to play with them. No kids there today so I just jumped up on one of the sofas and waits everybody come and go. Mommy was very proud of me because I never barked once.

Last night Mommy told me that Aunt Pam had called yesterday and said that Lane, 5 years old, and Blake, 2 years old, asked if I could bring Mona over. So the rest the morning, I visited with the boys.

This tree is on the edge of the driveway of at my Aunt Pam's house. We have lots of these kind of trees in Houston in all different colors.

So here are the boys, my Aunt Pam and Uncle Sonny. The boys kinda scare me a little and I tried to stay as close to Mommy as I could. They try to walk me but sometimes Lane pulls to hard and baby Blake is way to little.

Lane 5 years old

Blake 2 years old

Mommy's sister Pam, the boys and me.

My Uncle Sonny, the boys and me. I love my Uncle Sonny the most because he is is retired and makes some spending money by cleaning my house one a week and he brings his lunch and shares it with me while we sit outside and I get to play outside while he is there.

Walking with my Aunt Pam. Can you tell I was in a hurry to get back to my Mommy. I've always gotta have Mommy in sight, so she won't go off and leave. I get separation anxiety. It's not that, I just love my Mommy so much and can't be away from her for very long....."Mona, you just went to the end of the driveway and back!!".

After playing awhile little Blake was getting kinda cranky, so Aunt Pam said we had to go inside but we was gonna eat some watermellon. "just what did that mean? I did not get no wallymellon!!

Lane tried to sneak me some but Aunt Pam wouldn't let me have any. I love my Aunt Pam but she don't let me have no people food at her house.

Blake

I waited very patiently but nobody dropped nothing.

Afterwards the boys had to take baths. Them boys are like fish, they didn't want to come out.

Then it was nap time. Blake had his napping buddy, Mr Worm with him and
Lane climbed up on the sofa next to him. Lane calls Blake, Big Brudder.
They are the apple of Aunt Pam's eye. Mommy is their Daddy's Godmother, so I guess that makes Mommy their Godmother too!

Mommy wasn't gonna post these last 2 pictures but she promised Lane she would, since he took them. Not to bad for a 5 year old.... "please excuse my hair, I did bush it this morning."

Lastly, here are a few videos. Blake almost got in trouble in one but I was a good girl. My Aunt Pam kept calling me Samantha but that's OK.

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}}....Mona

Oh, the horror! No wallymelon? I can't believe they tortured you like that. We have one but Mom hasn't cut it yet...I keep waiting. Looks like you had a fun day (except for the wallymelon torture).
Love and hugs,

What a great and busy day you guys had :) We always enjoy your pictures (and quote of the day) so much . Thanks for sharing them

I sure miss you too Sweet Mona. Mommy is doing well, but she is just way too far away from us. We hope to have her back to the place that she calls "home" with all her loved ones very soon!

oh and sweet Mona, thanks for the blog-anniversary wishes. We cant believe that we survived the 3 blogging years with such a terrible helper. We do think that mommy is doing a terrible job at bloggging and visiting our dear pals' blogs at this period. However, we are still happy that we blogged because it gave us the chance to meet such a sweet pal as you are ;)

Once things get back to how it used to be at our place, we pwomise to be better bloggers than we are now

How fun it would be to go to the car place! I'll have to see if I can talk Old Girl into that.
I get super-duper separation anxiety, too. {sigh} Life is tough.
