THE FEARLESS HUNTER

QUOTE OF THE DAY: (Joe Stains)

''Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people , who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate in their....relations."
--- Sigmund Freud

Hi friends,

Guess what? Me and Mommy just got up from a two hour nap. It was wonderful!!! They finished the project at work and only had to work 6 1/2 hours today. I was so surprised and happy when Mommy walked in at 2:00 pm. She even stopped at the store and bought a roasted chicken and she said since I was such a good and patient little girl she was gonna share with me. Yummylicous!!!! So off we went for our nap and it was worth the wait. Mummy is the best cuddlier in the world....that extra pillow around her waist is so soft....heehee!!

So tonight, Mommy is gonna share a few pictures of my bestest city friends and a little story Aunt Judy told her yesterday about one of her boys. Mommy was laughing so hard and she could just visualize what happened.

(George, Bandit and Harley--left to right)
By now everybody should know my friends but I'm gonna tell you a little bit about each. George, the red one, is my Mommy's heart and everybody knows why but I'll explain again. He could be my brother Toby's twin except for his little brown nose. We can't even get into the gate at Aunt Judy's "Garden of Eden" before George is all over Mommy. He makes the Mommy very happy when he jumps on her lap 100 times while we are visiting. I don't mind but I make sure if he's on her lap, I am too. He is very laid back and pretty much just stands back and takes everything in. A very easy dog to live with........unless there is a squirrel around, than watch out!

Bandit, the piebald, is the shy, reserved, scared little Mama's boy who runs if he sees his own shadow. You would never have to worry about him running off or into the street because he ain't going nowhere without his Mommy. The above picture is where he can usually be found, belly and paws up in Aunt Judy's lap.
Harley is the loaner. He is independent. As long as he has a stuffed animal, with or without a squeaker, to tear apart he can keep himself entertained for hours. His passion is his balls and if he wants to chase after one he will bring one to you. It took more than a year for him to let Mommy even touch him and he does not give kisses.
OK, now for what happened. Aunt Judy said she was inside, when she heard all the boys barking really loud like they had something treed. Then she heard a doggie shrieking.......that would be Bandit........he does that when he is really agitated . "Oh, my God, somebody is trying to kill my dogs" she thought. She ran outside and saw them all on the side of the house next to a tree. She thought they had treed something and went back into the house. But in a few minutes it was worse than before so she went back out and saw Harley and George barking in the same spot but Bandit was biting the drain pip. Yes, biting or actually attacking it!! He had torn off a section and it had very sharp edges. We both think a mouse ran up the drain pipe and Bandit was determined to get it out. George and Harley came away when Aunt Judy yelled at them to come in but not Bandit. She had to force him into the house and lock him in. So unlike him. Mommy says she wished Aunt Judy had video of it and she'd pay money to see it.

Here is a picture of Bandit taken at my country friends, Roxie, Sammy and Andy's house when we went to the country for a day trip earlier this summer. He had the best time exploring and Aunt Judy said it was nice to see him do something exciting for a change. Remember we posted a video of him getting scared and running to his Mommy, that's the only Bandit we have ever seen. Mommy says she bet Jake taught him a few tricks during that visit cause Jake is always chasing some king of animal, remember the rabbits?

Pretty funny huh? Aunt Judy sent Mommy an e-mail this morning and this is what it said........

Well, Bandit is still attacking the drain pipe, but quietly now. He has the end all chewed up and he came in with black marks all on his back. George just stands back and watches him, Harley doesn't even bother to go out anymore.
I just love my city friends!!!!! And Mommy thanks Aunt Judy for sharing them with her.

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all.........Mona

What a funny story...a video would be great to see. Now for a confession, when I read the first part of this sentence I was not thinking too clearly: "His passion is his balls and if he wants to chase after one he will bring one to you." Sorry, but I found that to be funny and wanted to share.
Love and hugs,

My Mommy will never forget the rabbit story. That was a funny story and I am just glad, everyone is ok. I love roasted chicken, I wish I could have shared it with you. I was a little naughty today and kind of well... I took my Dads hot dog and bun right off his plate. Well he shouldn't have been eating by the tv anyway, but boy was he mad. It was worth it though and he forgave me.
