Hi my dearest friends,

We are finally back. Mommy's nephew came and plugged everything back in today and we wanted to let everybody know we are back where we belong, home again with Dogs With Blogs. There is so much that has happened since our computer went down, we just don't know where to start. We just realized something when we started this post. This is our 500th post. I say our post because when we started it on 09/03/07, there were 5 of us dachshunds & Mommy but now it is just me and Mommy so I guess it is my blog now. I'm sure you've guessed by now that Mommy is crying, thinking about my brothers not being with us any more. They are not with us anymore but that doesn't mean we don't love them any less or that they are very far away from our thoughts.

Awhile back some doggie asked every doggie to write what DWB meant to them. We didn't do it then but Mommy wants to do it now because being our 500th post, she went back to the first post we did and then remembered that less than 2 months later that she got so sick and my brothers had a go away.

What does DWB's mean to me? There is without a doubt in my or Mona's mind that it was my salvation. We started blogging on 09/03/07 because we read on the DROH website some successful adoption stories. One was about a dog named Sammy who was adopted from DROH and had a blog. I had never even known what a blog was before then. So we came by and found out that we had met Sammy, his sister Roxie and brother Andy AKA Dachsie's Rule at a previous Spring fling. There Mom, Mary, convinced me to start a blog. On 10/28/07 I got sick, had major surgery on my knee and had to give my boys back to DROH. The pain of giving up the boys was almost to much to bear and I wanted to die but there was Mona to think about. Had I not had the support and understanding of the DWB community during that terrible time I would still be crying every day. DWB brought the joy back into our lives and Mona & I have made so many friends and even got to meet Addie, Lucie, their Mom Staci and Mack & his Mom in person. Not to mention the lasting friendship of Roxie, Sammy, Andy and their Mom Mary.

What does DWB mean to me? I have meet and made many friends around the world and I have learned so much. Mommy & I have laughed and cried over many blogs just as you all do. You have helped my Mommy smile again and for that I can't thank you enough. I learned that there are other crazy Mommies in the world besides mine. I would not have met my bestest friends in the world had it not been for DWB.

We gotta be going now. Mommy took me for my summer haircut today and now we are going to Aunt Tina and Chris's house for a cookout. Mommy is gonna get them to take a picture (still no camera) of me with my summer haircut so you can see it tomorrow. I've also got some exciting news about next Saturday to tell you all about.
