FEEL THE WAY YOU CHOOSE AND UPDATES

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(picture courtesy of Butchy & Snickers)

"My dog's not spoiled ... I'm just well trained!"

Hi dear friends,

Today has been a very busy day. Mommy got her hair cut (bless you Jesus, she was starting to look kinda shaggy) and got her nails done (oh happy day!! I can't wait for a good belly rub)

and I went and got beautified for the DROH SPRING FLING tomorrow. I am getting sooooo excited. Evander and Fritzie are gonna be there and Mommy can't wait to see two of my brothers, Toby & Siskle. Keep your finger crossed that it doesn't rain, cause it rained last night and again this afternoon.

Can't visit too long tonight because we are still gathering up pictures for my Spring Flower post, so if you haven't sent your picture hurry up!! Depending on what time we get home tomorrow, we might have to wait until Monday to do the post. Mommy said those of you who would still like to join in have all day tomorrow to e-mail your pictures.

Mommy got something from work, part of the sharing program the hospital does once a week and it makes a lot of sense to her she's sharing. This is for the humans, because doggies don't have problems like our poor Mommies and Daddies.

Feel the way you choose.

Whatever you feel on the inside, you will experience on the outside. Life reflects back to you the way you most sincerely and persistently are.

When you're having a joyful day it's because you've decided to do so. The world you see is directly related to the world you intend to see.

From nothing, in an instant, you can create joy. Where there was none before, you can express love.

Do you realize the awesome power in your ability to feel the way you choose to feel? With that power you can change the world.

You're extraordinarily skilled at changing your feelings, and you've had much experience at doing so. Feel the exquisite beauty of this moment, and watch as that beautiful feeling manifests in the world around you.

This is your moment to live more fully than you've ever lived. Feel the possibilities, and bring them joyfully to life.

-- Ralph Marston

Before we leave here are a few updates. Remember Gussy, the little girl who had a very bad heating pad burn, that we posted about earlier this week? She is doing really well but Susana was having a hard time keeping her from her licking the burn. So my Aunt Judy made her a harness that goes all the way to her butt and is loose enough to not irritate the burn and she can't lick it any more. My Aunt Judy is so cleaver. One of our vet's said he'd might have her made some to have on hand at his clinic. She is running around and playing with all the other doggies and her Daddy might be taking her home soon. He comes over every day to visit and cries whenever he leaves. Finally a man, that doesn't hide his emotions!! Well, that's what Mommy says. Isn't that way way everybody should be about their children? Maybe she might be coming to the Spring Fling too!! Isn't she gorgeous in her new harness!!

UPDATE: 4/23/09 #1

JOANIE

April 23, 2009 - Today's update comes from Joanie's Foster Mom, Cindy. "Joanie has shared a week of her life with me as of today. Despite the fact there is very little change in her appearance, there have been very obvious changes in her personality and overall being. She is stronger, more alert and, though she rests a lot, she does not sleep as much. She does not growl when I go to pick her up like she did at first and I think that is because maybe she just feels a little better overall. Her appetite continues to be good and her water intake is steady. I put up a puppy pen outside under one of our big trees and she has spent the majority of yesterday and today hanging out – watching the birds come to the feeder above and over just a bit from her, enjoying the breezes and filtered sunlight and putting out an occasional much healthier bark when one of my crew gets too close to her pen for her liking. I am pleased to report that she weighed 3.6 pounds this morning, before breakfast so she is going in the right direction so far! I am going to need to get her a bigger bed too (actually two new beds – one for inside and one for outside). She really enjoyed stretching out on a pillow today while outside. She stretched out and put here little foot up in the air towards me as if to say “scratch my chest”, but we just did not quit there. The absolute best part of the day today was when I picked her up to bring her inside she actually gave me a little lick on the cheek – I GOT A KISS!!!! How great is that!?!?"

Since so many people around the world have shown such an interest, Mommy as decided to post updates from her website, whenever it is updated. Yahoo!! You go girl!!

Thanks for sharing the update on Joanie!! Great to see that she's getting better and is learning to give kisses! This is one great start...

Psst.. our mom went to cut her hair over the weekend too. It used to be way past her shoulders and she's cut it till it is just under her chin. She is sooooo regretting it!! Heehee...
