PAWS IN THE PARK

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
.
(a field of Texas flowers)
"Being left behind is the saddest feeling a dog can have."
Hi dear friends,
Sorry we haven't posted in a few days, but things have been really busy for the Mommy and the old girl has just been to tired to give my blog the attention it deserves. I am so excited!! This weekend DROH is participating in a big event called "PAWS IN THE PARK" in Pearland. It is a 3 day event but we could only afford to rent a booth for one day so DROH will only be there this Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. If our kissing booth is ready, I will be working the kissing booth, like I did at the "DEAR PARK PET ADVENTURE" last April. I made $28.00 last year selling my kisses. Of course, I gave more away than I sold but what can I say. Everybody is invited and dogs of all kinds are welcome. Admission is free!! There will lots of rescue groups represented and all kinds of competitions and a carnival too!! And the food!!
The down side is that I gotta go to the groomer tomorrow on the Mommy's way to work and she's gonna leave me there all day. I have to look good and smell clean or nobody will want to kiss me......but why can't Mommy come get me at lunch or something. My groomer, Miss Gina, said she will take good care of me and I will be able to visit with all the doggies there......but all day!!
Now for the exciting part, besides making money to help DROH some of our DWB friends that live in Texas are coming down to take part in the fun. Addie & Lucie with their Mom, Staci, I hope will be able to make it. That was the plan last time Mommy spoke to Staci. Mommy has met the girls but I haven't. I will be so excited to finally meet these beautiful girls.
Lucie & Addie from Fort Worth

Our dear friends, Mack and his Mommy Amy, are coming for sure. We have been trying to make connections to meet at the Pearland Dog Park since forever. Miss Paris Rain has a salon dag Saturday and can't come and I don't know about Lilly but I finally get to see Mackie.

Mack from Angelton

Mango wanted to come too but his Mommy is going to a wedding on Saturday so guess what he did? He sent me $10.00 whole dollars for my kisses!!! The event hasn't even started yet and I've already made $10.00 to help rescue more dachshunds. Thank you so much my little friend friend with a big heart!!! I told Mango I will give him 20 kisses instead of 10 since he is my first customer when we finally get to met, hopefully sometime soon.

Mango from Richardson

Mommy tried to copy and paste some information but it didn't work to good so you can go to this link and see lots of pictures and read a lot more information.

Here are a few pictures Mommy took at the fair we participated in last year. I had my summer haircut then but this year I'm gonna have my wiry look because most people have never even seen a wirehair and DROH wants folks to see every kind of dachshund there is so that means a bunch of our doggies waiting to be adopted will be there. Remember Tootsie from my envelope stuffing post a couple of weeks ago? The couple who want to adopt her and have been approved are coming to meet her Saturday so she might be leaving us for her forever home if they like her and she likes them. Who wouldn't love such a cutie!!

Check out my kissing technique. This little boy wanted to take me home but the Mommy said NO WAY!!

I wish all of you could come. Wouldn't it be wonderful!!
Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all..........Mona
