ME AND MACK

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in your car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear." --- Dave Barry

Hi dear friends,

Mommy is sad tonight. First she had to go to the rosary last night and today the funeral of her dear beloved cousin, Magdalena, then as soon as she got home she found out that one of DROH newest doggies, Lexie, a beautiful dapple long hair left for the bridge. She had been very sick since she came into the program and today she had a fever and all her organs starting shutting down. Mommy cried and again she doesn't feel very festive but I begged her to at least share the pictures of my dear friend Mackie when he came to visit at Paws in the Park or as everybody that was there from DROH called "Gone with the Wind".

So here goes. Mackie was such gentleman and he impressed my Mommy to no end when he jumped up and laid his paws on her leg and started giving her kisses. That was all it took. Who wouldn't fall in love with eyes like these. Ruby is a lucky girl to have such a handsome boyfriend, but then Sammy is lucky to have a pretty girlfriend like me....hee hee hee!!!

After visiting awhile Mommy and Amy, Mackie' Mom, decided to walk around and look at all the booths. As you saw from my last post there were lots of different doggies there and tons of rescue groups, so there was a lot to see. They were just getting ready to start the Frisbee competition so they went over to watch the dogs for awhile.
It was sooooooo cold and sooooooo windy. Most of the morning I spent under Mommy's jacket and she wrapped a blanket around us. Here I am sitting in the stands shivering while Mommy & Amy was talking about us and Mackie was making a tiny little friend.

Amy said Mackie isn't nice sometimes but I don't believe a word of it. I don't know just what they was taking about, all I know is they was whispering to each other.

Then they did this. But since that's how us dogs communicate, I guess it's OK. I communicated like that a lot with almost every dog I met.

I hope Mackie doesn't get mad at the Mommy, but she thinks he has the cutest little tail and so Mackie, it wasn't me, it's Mommy showing your butt.

Whose in there? Look a puppy!! This would be great for my big sissy Lilly!

All the cold and wind was worth it just to be able to meet Mackie and his Mom. The only thing that would have made it better was if Paris Rain & Lilly could have come.

Gotta go now. Mommy can't miss Dancing with the Stars. Hope is cheers her up.
Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}}....Mona & Mommy too!!
