A GIFT TO DROH IN MEMORY OF ZOE

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich." -- Louis Sabin

Hi dear friends,

As all of you know by now, Addie and Lucie's big sister ZOE left for the bridge in January after having lived a happy, wonderful and long life of almost 15 years, the same age that Mommy's doggie, Samantha, went to the bridge. The Mommy feel in love with Zoe when she saw her on Addie's blog because she looked just like Nikki, one of her fosters. Zoe loved balls with bells. Nikkie loved balls. Zoe and her Mommy, Staci, would sit for hours pushing a ball back and forth to each other. Nikkie loved to chase balls and bring them back to the Mommy to throw again and again for hours. Staci and her husband got Zoe in Germany when she was just a pup and the Mommy got Samantha when she was 8 weeks old. Both Samantha & Zoe are at the bridge now the Mommy misses both of them even though we never got to meet Zoe in person.

When the Mommy heard about Zoe having left for the bridge, she prayed that her Samantha had found Zoe and they would be become best buddies. Last night the Mommy dreamt of Samantha, Zoe, K8 and a little chocolate dog, of course it had to be my Jody. The little imp was running around acting silly and was making the 3 girls laugh. Then a little fluffy kitty cat appeared & it was Poo Poo. Jody and Poo Poo started rolling around in the grass together. It was so real that the Mommy cried because she wanted to be running around acting silly, playing with everybody and loving on Samantha. Then she woke up....but was so glad to think how happy they were. OK, OK .... so can't she help it. She believes that some dreams come true and knows that dream has to be true.

So anyway, before she starts crying, let me finish what I came to show you.....she's such a crybaby!! The Mommy asked Staci if we could have a picture of Zoe and one of her toys, so we could put it with Samantha's shrine and she could talk to both girls when shes in the computer room. Staci said YES she would do that for the Mommy. Staci also said she would like to make a donation to DROH of some of Zoe's favorite things to put smiles on a few dachie faces. OMD!! Did she ever. Here is a picture of some of the stuff including a doggie bed.....it's there in the back with tons of stuff in it. We can see lots of smiling dachie faces already, not to mention all the folks with DROH. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards Staci and her family for thinking of DROH during this very hard time in their lives.

But that wasn't all. Look what all she sent for me, addressed to Mona Mi Ricca!! Not only did the Mommy get pictures but also one of Zoe's favorite balls with the fuzz chewed off. That little ball is very precious and will have a place of honor with Samantha's toys. Toys and treats for me. I shared the chicken sticks with my friends at my Dachshund get together Sunday. The Mommy said since we had such a big party Sunday, we weren't going to have a birthday/gotca party this year for me but she is going to go to Wal-Mart and see if they can make me a little cake in the shape of a dachshund, that I can eat. That will work!!

Here is the picture the Mommy choose to put in this doggie frame the Mommy had. Isn't Zoe pretty.

Samantha & Zoe together.

I have one last thing to say from both me and the Mommy. God Bless you Staci!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and all the smiling dachies in our care.
Love, kisses and (((huggis))) to all.........Mona & the Mommy too!!
PS....the Mommy thought long and hard tonight tryig to pick a flower for my post but then it popped in her head........BLUEBONNETS for Zoe and Samantha...2 Texas girls playing in the bluebonnets.

...many tears...

We are sooo happy that you liked all of the items that we sent. Being all of Zoe's favorites, I shouldn't have been worried at all.

Your dream was wonderful. I'm so happy that she found Sam and K-8.

Bluebonnets were a perfect flower to pick.

I can hardly believe that in a few days it will have been a month since she left us. I wish she could have lived forever...

Thank you sooo very much for this post!

Lots of Luv & Kisses
Addie, Lucie and Staci

Once again, this goes to show the power of the DWB magic... It's amazing how people/ doggies/ kitties/ hammies across the miles can touch each other's lives in so many different ways, and it's all made possible trhough DWB.
This is indeed a very touching story and the dream is beautiful. It could be that Samantha is trying to tell you that Zoe's with her and she is taking care of everyone.

We have first-hand experience of Staci's kindness. Addie and Lucie are two lucky girls, as was Zoe.

Thanks for the lovely award! We have added it to our blog page!

Awww, how sweet! Thta was nice so nice of Zoe's mom! We loved your mom's dream. Mom believes dreams are ways for those that we loved that have passed to communicate with us, especially when they know we need it the most. Mom had a dream about her Great-Grandma once when she was having a hard time with some stuff and she told Mom to stop worrying so Mom did.
