Hi all our dear friends,
Me and the Mommy have been up since 5 am this morning. Why would any normal human Mommy get up at 5 am on Saturday morning you ask? Because tomorrow we are having a Dachshund Party!! The Mommy is cooking homemade spaghetti sauce and meat balls with some hard boiled eggs (it's a Sicilian thing) for the party and as everybody knows homemade sauce takes all day to cook. She got up early to make her meatballs, boil & peal the eggs, chop up all the onion, garlic, celery and basil and now her sauce is simmering away so we gots plenty of time to put the final touches on my Strings of Friendship feature.
The Mommy only wishes we could have spotlighted every doggie and kitty cat in the DWB community but that would have been impossible and since there are over 1000 doggie blogs, it would take more than 3 years to finish. It took 26 days straight to complete my feature, but we made a lot more friends than that because a lot of my choices had brothers or sisters that we featured. I don't think, me and the Mommy has to worry about running out of friends for awhile. The Mommy got a sore hand now but I got almost a whole month of napping in my little bed at her feet.!! What could be finer than that!!! So from the bottom of our hearts we say...........................
So now I want every body that participated in my feature to accept this friendship award. I hope everybody has visited my new friends by now or hope to do soon. ( The Mommy here...I am computer ignorant and don't know how to add words to pictures, so if you just accept the picture as Mona's award to each of you, I would appreciate it). A special thank you to the parents of Qwill, Ume, Xiao and Yoshie, for naming their babies or this feature would not have been complete.
I have one more request to ask of all of you. The Mommy and I did not highlight any hammies because I only have 1 hammier friend, Bae Bae,that has not left for the bridge. I want to do a Hammie feature too. So if you have any hammie friends, please let me know. Because we have lost so many hammierfriends, we would dedicate the post to our dear friends Fufu, Baby Girl and Mousie.
Oh and also don't forget my Brother/Sister post I want to do, so please e-mail me a picture of you. The Mommy said we won't begin that post until March.

Well that's all my friends. I think the Mommy did a pretty good job of picking out all kinds of different doggies and kitties to interduce. Of course she was a little heavy on dachshunds but what can I say .

PS.............Don't let Mona fool you, she snores!! She slept most of the time while I was loading pictures.......the Mommy, Sarah.

thankyou for the award mona..mj and i have had this blog for a few years and we have never ever learned how to post awards...but we appreciate them just the same...my mommy thinks your daschunds are beautiful...and we have been watching out for an older....not to old...rescue...but in our area we arent too lucky...one day maybe....
