"Cherish every moment with you families as time can be so fleeting."

It has been a very sad time this week for SJMC, where the Mommy works. Saturday, Dr R Wayne Hurt and his wife, Mary Lou were killed in a home fire. There son was able to get out without injury. He was a valued and loved member of the SJMC medical staff and worked there for 22 years. He will missed by all. The hospital has lowered the flags at half staff to honor his memory. He Mommy knew him very well both personally & professionally and she has been crying a lot this week. Please say a prayer for them and also to give their son the strength to get through the funeral.

Today when the Mommy got home from work there was a belated birthday card from Mango & his family for her. You all know how much the Mommy loves flowers and the card made her smile. Leave it up to a DWB friend to make things better even if it's only for a little while. We don't have a scanner so the Mommy just took a picture so you all could see how lovely it is. It's 3D and the flowers sparkle. Thanks so much Mango....it was just what the Mommy needed.

Strings of Friendship "J"

Please forgive the Mommy, she was so upset she forgot to add our little banner with this post but she was crying when she was tying about her friends & she just forgot. She is not a Doofus tonight.

My choice for "J" is Josh and Jessie the Shelties from New Zealand.
They are brother and sister. I don't have any sheltie friends & I sure would like to be their friend.

You can visit them at http://oursheltie.blogspot.com
The picture of the flower of the day is a Pohutuckawa from what is called a Christmas tree in New Zealand. The Mommy loves the color.
The Mommy wasn't even gonna post tonight but I told her we can't skip any days in my String of Friendship, so I made her.
Love, kisses & huggies to all......Mona

We are so sorry to hear about the loss for SJMC and your mommy. We know she is sad and will miss her friend.

We are glad your mom got another birthday card. Your mom may not be doofus but we think our mom is one. She looked in her purse today and found your mom's birthday cards. One of these days she might even mail them. We can either be really late or we can wait until next year.
