DROH DECEMBER ADOPTIONS

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "You gonna bark all day, little doggie, or are you gonna bite?" ---
Mr. Blonde, the movie Reservoir Dogs

Hi Dear friends,

Me and the Mommy are so excited. Today we got the list of all our LUCKY doggies that got adopted during December which is wonderful for this time of the year.

11, YES 11 found their forever homes!!!

Rescue, there is nothing more fulfilling for a rescue organization than getting even 1 dog adopted much less 11 at Christmas. One of our doggies even got adopted on Christmas Eve. Before me & the Mommy introduce you to the lucky ones she wants to share a video about rescue that is too cute but the Mommy could not get the link to work so instead you need to go into the blog:
http://www.luluandlolly.com/ Then scroll down to where it says Rescue Dog Rock and click where it says to click. The Mommy has been listening to it every morning and she says she fells like "cutting a rug". Does any doggie have any idea what that means....it must be an old lady thing?

Here are our adopted dachshunds for December.

adopted 12/01/08 SNUFFLES (no picture available)
adopted 12/07/08 FANNIE (no picture available)

BOGART#2 adopted 12/07/08

NIGEL adopted 12/07/08 (a wire hair like me)

WINNIE adopted 12/19/08

RECKLESS adopted 12/21/08

TINKERBELL # 2 adopted 12/24/08

HONEYBEE adopted 12/27/08

CASH adopted 12/29/08

MOJO adopted 12/30/08

PARKER adopted 12/31/08

Pretty nice looking bunch of dachshunds, if I do say so myself. These pictures would have been the actual pictures their new parents saw when they went to the website looking to adopt a rescue. Somebody asked the Mommy where we get the names for our dogs. The answer is, if the dog was a owner surrender, they keep their names because they already recognise their names but if the dog was found on the streets or picked up from the SPCA, Animal Control, City Pound, etc the person that does the transporting or the foster get to name the dog whatever they choose. When the Mommy was transporting she came up with some really interesting names.

The Mommy also got a link from my Aunt Judy that shows how all animals can get along against all odds. It was on CBS News one day recently. It's called "The Animal Odd Couple". For some reason it kinda starts & stop a couple of times, so don't give up on it. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4696315n

And last but not least for tonight, a cartoon Uncle Neil sent the Mommy. I sure am glad I'm a girl.

That's all folks.........love, kisses and huggies to all....Mona!!!

I went to the vet and you were right, it is a disc problem. We are trying to be careful so it does not get worse. You are such a smartie!
