THEY WON AGAIN

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Life is like a dog-sled team. If you ain't the lead dog, the scenery never changes." -- Lewis Grizzard
Hi dear friends,

Well they did it again. The SJMC Business Office won for the second year in a row. The announcement was made this morning and everybody was so excited. They were awarded a big basket with lots of fruit, candy and nuts in it. The Mommy got an apple (I'm gonna eat it to see if my hair will grow like Mitch's does) and she took some nuts and the empty basket.

They had so many bears that they didn't all fit on the tree so they just put them under it. The white bear in the center was the Mommy's, that she never let me play with. I showed you the tree on my last post if you want to go back and look at it. The tree at the top of this post won second place. The trees will be donated to St John's Church down the street from the hospital and the pastor said there are a lot of children in their parish whose parents can't afford toys so they are gonna let the kids take a bear off the tree at the children's mass on Christmas Eve. How exciting for the children!!

Something else wonderful is going to happen at the hospital on Dec 15th. The Houston Symphony is sending some of their performers and some of their choir to have a concert in the hospital chapel for the staff, doctors and patients and then they will go to as many bedsides as they can, to do mini concerts for some of our patients that couldn't leave their rooms. The Mommy loves classical music, so she says she won't miss it for the world.
Me and the Mommy are traveling again this weekend but not too far.....just down the road to League City. We are gonna spend the night at My Aunt Judy's with her and the boys. She got a new foster named Athena that the Mommy wants to meet. We don't have a picture to show you right now but the Mommy will take some pictures this weekend. The Mommy was furious when she found out Athena's story. She was found wandering the streets in Pasadena. DROH thinks she was dumped by a puppy mill because she is to old to breed anymore. The Vet says she is probably 6 or 7 years old. She is a tiny little thing....small like Tina is. Her teeth were in terrible shape and he had to pull 16 teeth and now her tongue hangs out of her mouth. The Mommy--I would like to find whoever dumped here and pull all their teeth out!!!! And then wrap their tongues around their necks. The Mommy get very mad about stuff like this.
Another reason for our trip is that we are gonna get to see Bradley or Brad a lee, as the Mommy calls him. Remember how excited the Mommy was to see his at the Spring Fling this year after he had his surgery and how she cried over him. If you remember, he got adopted right after the Spring Fling. Well the people that adopted him gave him back to DROH because they said if he had trouble with his back again they couldn't afford to treat him. The Mommy--THAT IS A CROCK!!! They lady's husband was out of town when she adopted him 6 months ago & he wanted a girl. Again the Mommy gots upset. Bradley was the sweetest foster that ever stayed with us and the Mommy loves him dearly and me too because we used snuggle together when we took naps. Becky, who was fostering him before he was adopted said when he came back he just trotted into the house like he had never left. Yep, that's Bradley for you!!

This is Bradley---have you ever seen such a cutie pie!!

OK...we gotta go now but the Mommy took a little video of me. Excuse the mess, but Mommy washed clothes all day yesterday and didn't have time to wash the sheets, so I've been wallowing in them all day. That's what happens when she left them on the floor. There's nothing like wallowing in dirty clothes.

Love, kisses & huggies to all.....Mona

Congrats on the win. And what a cool thing they are doing, I bet everyone will love hearing the music.

Poor Bradley, he sounds adorable. I hate hate hate puppy mills. Athena deserves a wonderful forever home.

Love the video, you are just tooooooo cute!!!!

Woohoo to your mom's office! I love the bear theme and that's great that kids will be able to take the bears.
My mom gets really upset when she hears about pwople being mean to animals and treating them like an "accesory" instead of a member of the family!

Hi, Mona and the Mommy! You-know-who hasn't been letting me blog much lately! I've missed you!

First, GRRRRRRR to puppy mill people! The Girl wants them to have to live like the poor doggies they abuse.

Second, GRRRRRR to people who adopt doggies and then return them because they want a different sex, or colour, or whatever.

Third, the Mommy and DROH are the most pawsome folks around! Hope Bradley gets a real furever home soon, and we know that Athena will now enter into a life filled with love and light, now that DROH is involved.

I love apples!

And I really love that the kids at the parish get to choose a bear off of the tree! Congrats to the SJMC Business Office!

Brown dog kisses,
Dannan
