QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I am accustomed to hearing malicious falsehoods about myself ... But I think I have a right to recent, to object to, libelous statements about my dog." ---- Franklin D. Roosevelt
Hi my dear friends,
It just occurred to me that I should show all of you some closeups of my friends, so you don't have to remember what color their collars are.
ROXIE
SAMMY
ANDY
ROXIE sniffing in the dead garden.
ME sniffing around the ground where the septic tanks are.
ROXIE sniffing along the pathway in front of the house.
ME just sniffing along.
Last night the Mommy showed you her favorite picture of me. This is the Mommy's favorite picture of Roxie in profile. The Mommy loves this little girl almost as much as she does me and she wanted to bring her home with us but Mary said NO WAY !!!!!
I took one look at that pool & decided I didn't want to go in....the water looked too cold so......
I just locked my little legs & won't budge.
ANDY
& OF COURSE ME!!
All of the above pictures of us were taken on the front porch. There are 2 wooden rockers and a tree stump between them that is perfect for putting a coffee cup on...which the Mommy and Mary did every morning while they talked and drank coffee. "Ya gotta, watch out though because Roxie kept trying to climb into the Mommy's lap from the stump."

Me and Roxie hung out a lot together and we did lots of sniffing with our noses to the ground....that's how Roxie found the grub on Friday.

Sammy went in first and as soon as Roxie got put in Sammy jumped out and then Roxie jumped out when Andy got put in.....heehaw....it was very funny!!!
Andy actually was the only one that would stay in the pool but he must have been thirsty cause he was drinking the water. He jumped out too as soon as the Mommy tried to put me in the pool. See my tail?

After a long morning of sniffing around, playing non stop, barking at everything that moved and swimming in the afternoon, us girls just had to take a little nap on the couch....no boys!!
After our afternoon nap, we sniffed around, played non stop, barked at everything that moved but didn't swim again. Then we had our dinner. Then we sniffed around, played non stop & barked at everything that moved again while the Mommies was sitting on the front porch talking & looking at the stars. Of course Mary had the shotgun with her because those nasty snakes like to come out at night after if cools off.
I bet you are all wondering about the animals I saw like the cow dogs, humming birds, catfish and squirrels. The Mommy ran out of film on her camera Saturday night so we used Mary's camera on Sunday. Mary is having trouble sending the pictures to us so ya got to wait until we get them to see all the critters.
Some of ya might think this is strange but the Mommy likes old cemeteries and on the property they have the HENRY PEYTON FAMILY CEMETERY. The oldest grave site is a baby that died in 1834, that Mary said was the first person to be buried there. They are bunch of graves in the 1800's there. The Mommy loves genealogy and she said it was fascinating hearing the history of everybody there. They even have a grave site there that has a statue of a black dog on it, a LAB, the Mommy thinks. Us doggies didn't go because the Mommies thought it would be disrespectful if we pee pee'd or poo poo'd on the graves. We gots pictures of the cemetery too.
Well that's it for tonight. Stay tuned for part 3 whenever the pictures come through.
Love, kisses & (((huggies))) to all........Mona & the Mommy too!!
