THIS & THAT -- AGAIN

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"If dogs could talk, perhaps we would find it as hard to get along with them as we do with people" -- Karel Capek

Hi dear friends,

The Mommy is very tired & scared. The news from the hospital is not good and she doesn't even want to think about whats happening, so tonight we are just throwing a bunch of things your way. She says she can't be creative with our post tonight because her mind is shot.

First off, I need all my friends opinions. What kind of look is right for me. Some folks like the shaggy me & some like the slick look. What da ya think? Which is the real me?

BEFORE

AFTER

It was been raining in Houston almost everyday since the weekend. We thought our poor little hibiscus plants were dead but look what the Mommy found tonight when she got home from work. All that rain we have been having has revived our plants. The Mommy says there's nothing like humor and beautiful flowers to perk you up. The humor will come at the end of this post and it has nothing to do with dogs....for a change. Look at all the buds in the one picture. I tried to help the Mommy count them on the whole bush but since I kept losing count, we just gave up and will just wait to see what comes up. So far this year we have had 3 different colors.

The above picture is me in my backyard stuffie graveyard. The Mommy keeps throwing the body pieces away and I just dig them back out of the garbage can. I won't tell the Mommy how I manage to get then out of the garbage....I girl has to have some secrets.

This is what's left of baby Velcro.

In my defense, Jody helped me in the destruction on his last visit.

Now for the humor. This funny looking guy is called LARRY THE CABLE GUY. We listen to the KILT country western radio station in Houston everyday....we wake up to it, the Mommy listens to it going and coming from work and I listen to it all day when the Mommy is gone to work. The Mommy said we like country western so I guess in some folks book we are country hicks.....we don't care.....we are country & we like it that way!!
Anyway, there is a character called, JIM BOB JUMPBACK, that has his daily AGGIE reflections, as he calls it, and he worships Larry the cable guy. So we are gonna share some of Larry's wisdom.....the scary part is that a lot of what he says in true in a round about way. We are just going to share the ones the Mommy got the best laugh out of. Right about now we need some laughs. ENJOY!!

THE WISDOM OF LARRY THE CABLE GUY:

#1----A day without sunshine is like night.
#2----On the other hand, you have different fingers.
#3----99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
#4----He who laughs last, thinks slowest.
#5----The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap.
#6----A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
#7----If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
#8----When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
#9----Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.
#10---What happens if you get scared to death, twice?
#11---Inside every older person is a younger person wondering, "What the heck happened?"
#12---Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off.
#13---Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
and last but not least....the Mommy really laughed on this one:
#14---Life isn't like a box of chocolates: it's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your butt tomorrow.
Pretty funny ... don't ya think!! Later Mona & the Mommy too!!

I prefer the smooth look cause I bet ya feel better in the summer heat without all the hair...are ya sure both were a picture of you 'n not some other doggie?

What's happenin' at the hospital? we musta missed it?

Yeah, life is like a box of chocolates was a sayin' by Forest Gump's Mom, Sally Field....but what did she know after havin' a kid like Forest talkin' up a storm all day every day?

We personally love both looks, BOL! How about longer in winter and shorter in summer? We like them both... shaggy is cute, but you look so sweet all sleek too!

Those flowers are gorgeous, mum says there were some hibiscus? She likes those...

Sorry to hear your mommy got bad news. Hope it's not too serious.

You look really nice either way. To be practical, long and cute for the cold season and short and sweet for the hot.

The hibiscus is blooming really pretty.

Thanks for the laugh.

It think you look cute with either hair style. That stuff made Mummy laugh. Sorry to hear your Mummy is going through a hard time. Give a lick from me.

Sasha and you have similar problems. Sasha hates getting haircuts, but she loves feeling cooler after one. Mom likes her fuzzy, but then thinks she's cute after a haircut, too.
We think Larry the Cable Guys is hilarious, too! We heard that he's getting ready to record this year's Christmas special. We loved last year's and can't wait for this year's!
Have a great weekend!
