My trip to Aunt Judy's Part 2

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Dogs are really people with short legs in fur coats."

Hi my dear friends,

Before we show you more pictures of my trip to Aunt Judy's, I need to do a retraction to my previous post. The Mommy said the #1 Spring son was TOBY in error....Aunt Judy caught the error herself....the picture was of #1 son George.
The Mommy can't help herself....George looks just like our Toby except for his little brown button nose....my brudder's nose is black. George is very special to the Mommy because Toby was and still is to us.

OK.....now to continue with my visit. As everybody knows, where you have flowers ya gonna have bugs and lots of them.

We saw lot of bees & bugs around the flowers and so then ya gots to have a frog or two to eat them......right!!!
This is the frog Aunt Judy has to catch all the bugs.

She also gots turtles to help the frog out. Do turtles eat bugs?

And here as some of the bugs.

***********************************************

Aunt Judy also has lots of eatables too.

These are some tomatoes the Mommy got from Aunt Judy's tomato plants.

These are some of the tomato plants....as you can see they are still making.

There are also some Meyer Lemon trees. They look like limes, don't they?
But they are not. Meyer lemons are a cross between a lemon and a Mandarin orange. They turn yellow as they mature and are big and very juicy. Last year we gots bags and bags of them.

And last but not least are the figs. All these figs came off of one really big tree that is right next to the deck. Aunt Judy also gave Shirley a box half this size. The Mommy got an e-mail from Aunt Judy at work saying that she made four pies and froze them just since we was there on Saturday.
She picks figs everyday. Aunt Judy's husband has to climb a latter to get to all the figs on the top branches. They have to keep the lower limbs bare because the boys ate some that they pulled of the tree ...... they gots sick and puked all day....hehehe....I say they got the long thin dirties, if you know what I mean.....

Here is a close up of the tree.....see the figs?

See how tall the tree is? The deck is right in front of the tree and it has seats on it, so that how them boys picked them figs and gots sick.

Here are some pictures of a bunch cactus in the yard too and a few pictures of the deck.

Didn't we tell ya it was a GARDEN OF EDEN back there?

Now for a little bad news. HPA, who owns St Joseph Medical Center announced today that they have put the hospital up for sale. They only bought it from the people that owned it less than 2 years ago. They told the staff that it wouldn't effect their jobs, since whoever buys it would need a business office......the Mommy said whatever happens, she'll take it as it comes. It took Christus, the former owner, 2 years before it sold before. The Mommy said she will just take a early retirement and stay home with me.......sounds good to me!!!
The other bad news is really sad. My Aunt Annie, the Mommy's Godmother, was taken to the emergency room this afternoon & she has been admitted into the Intensive Care Unit in Baytown. It does not look good. Please keep her in your prayers.
Love ... Mona & the Mommy too!!

My doggy nanny would love all the garden 'things' - she likes stuff like that!!

And tell your mom that things happen fur reasons - if her job is to be with the new folks it will be and if not, being home with you should be LOTS of fun too!!!

Hi Mona,
Sorry I have not been around! My mom was out of town last week and I just found out we are selling our house and moving in a month.....we are all super stressed and busy here.
You are most welcome to use my photos....oooh, I am excited to read about what you will write! Please send me a message when you wrote it though,ok? My mom has not had much time to help me visit my friends lately.
I am sorry to hear about your mom's retirement, uh, but my mom is not! My mom is jealous that she can not retire too! And I will for sure pray for your aunt Annie. Cat purrs and purrayers can go a long way in helping recovery.
Purrs,
JB

I will come by probably in the morning to see the post....my mom is so tired she may go to bed really early tonight. We will just be moving a little east of where we are now....even the same zip code, and still in Fairview. I am writing now about how scared we were yesterday, and will post shortly.
Hope the hospital visit brings good recovery news for your aunt.
