VISITING Roxie, Sammy & Andy this weekend !!!!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is, without a doubt, the best deal man has ever made." -- Roger Caras

Hi my friends,

This morning the Mommy got up, did her usual morning ritual, then made a cup of coffee and brought it into the computer room to read some blogs while she drank her coffee before leaving for work. I decided to go back to bed after I did my business and was almost asleep again, when I heard her scream "OH MY GOD NO!!!

This is the way I look when I'm half asleep the way I was when I heard the Mommy scream.

And this is how wide eyed the Mommy said I looked when she told me the news. The Mommy was crying & when she told me why I had to cry too.

The Mommy was checking out the DWB News page, when it said to go over to the Dachsies Rule blog to offer support because Roxie and Sammy had been bitten by a copperhead snake. She ran over there & was relieved to see Andy had reported that Roxie and Sammy are going to be OK!! with a few battle scars. The Mommy, being the Mommy, wants to make sure they are OK with her own eyes. She talked to Mary, their Mommy, and asked if we could come visit if she didn't mind. She said sure so Sunday morning, me and the Mommy are going to go to College Station to visit for the day. We will lots of pictures to share when we get back.
Our post yesterday was about angels watching over us. The Mommy believes that Roxie and Sammy were being guarded by an angel like this one and because of that protection they are alive today. This one was a gift from Samantha's Vet to the Mommy. It is by Willow Tree.
Thanks little guardian angel for helping my friends!!!

Since this is Memorial Day weekend, the Mommy will be home for 3 whole days with me. The Mommy said since she can stay home all day Monday & rest we can go visiting tomorrow too. So we are going to visit in Porter with Jody and his family. Since the price of gas is almost
$4.00 a gallon, this might be the last trips in the car we will be taking for awhile.
Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend and Memorial Day. We'll be back to report on our visits soon.
LOVE YA.....Mona and the Mommy too!!
PS...Neil gave the Mommy this silly little comic strip this morning & he thought it was hilarious. You'll have to click on it to be able to read the words...SORRY.

Hi Mona!
I'm so glad your friends are ok! Mom had a cat one time that was bitten by a copperhead and it was fine, after a trip to the vet. Mom has prayed for your friends.

Be sure to come visit my blog to see my 100th post!

Barklove,
Rusty

Thank God for protecting Sammy & Roxie. Mummy's blogger friend's dog died while protecting the family from a snake. What great love!
