FRIENDSHIPS & UPDATES

Hi friends,

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Why is it that my heart is so touched whenever I meet a dog lost in our noisy streets" -- Emile Zola

Me & the Mommy are being very reflective tonight...not that me knows what that means but since the Mommy knows, me will let her take over my bloggie again.

Look at the word below "FRIENDSHIP". What does that word mean to me & Mona and hopefully to all our friends in this world--it means that it doesn't matter what shape, size, color, human or animal you are, friends stay together, love & help each other through thick & then. The word would be a very unhappy world without our friends. Who said dogs have to hate cats & cats have to hate birds? A true friend can be anybody, just as Mona is my best friend.

What made me think of this all of a sudden? Today a friend sent me an e-mail that started with the little emblem below & it is so true. This made Mona think about JB (the kitty cat), Koobus & Hana on their Great Adventure to the North Pole to find Hershey. Could they have gotten as far as they did without all the friends that helped them along the way. Where would I have been were it not for all my friends when I got so sick? Any way....this e-mail had pictures of kitty cats getting along with each other, so why not show some pictures of kitty cats getting along with dogs and others animals too. Hope you enjoy them.

Now notice this poor little fellow below. He looks like he is praying for a friend. I bet there are plenty of doggies & kitty cats that would LOVE & BE HONORED TO BE HIS FRIEND. I know that me and Mona would. Think about it!!!

UPDATES:
Jody did have to have surgery. They had to remove part of one of his disks. The surgery was Thursday and he has to stay in a crate for the next few weeks until his post op checkup. Chris & Tina said they can let him out just to go to poddy, so they leave Mr Grins, Gordo and his new sister, Baby Girl, in the house so he won't try to roughhouse with them while he does his business. He is moving around outside like nothing ever happened, so keep your figures crossed that their will be no paralyze.
Bradley, our former foster, has been moved to the available for adoption list and is doing wonderful after his surgery several months ago. They are still trying to stop him from digging but that is a lost cause....he lives to dig and eat dirt too. He will be at the Spring Fling Sunday so we are very excited to see him.
Adoptions are going really well this month and DROH has gained several more fosters which will really come in a handy since there unfortunately are more dachunds rescued from shelters everyday. As our motto says "Until there are none, save one" will continue until it becomes true.

Enough said. Thanks for letting us unload....like smiling, it's good for you.
We love you, all our friends.....Mona & the Mommy too!!

Hi Mona,
What a sweet wonderful post about friends! I do miss our big adventure and I am sure glad to have such wonderful doggie friends. Maybe you can come over to play this week......yep the bad news is.....my mom is leaving me for a week! I am so sad and crying already. Not too brave after I showed my brave side for the big adventure, huh?
Well, hope you can teleport over. Oh, and that pet fair sounds like it was a lot of fun. I hope you got lots of treats!
Your friend,
JB

We all love being your friend, Mona! And Chloe likes being friends with the mommy too. We are watching for your package and barking at the mailman every day to tell him we are waiting (ok, we bark at him anyway, but shhhhhh!) You really didn't have to send us anything - we know your mommy was having a tough time and it's a present enough to us that she is doing better!
