2 YEARS AGO ......and.....OUR CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANGE PRESENTS

  Always in my heart.........

Two years ago today, my heart was torn in two.
We lost our beloved Shelby and the rest of the Fearless
Five in a tragic fire.

They all were very special but Shelby was one of a kind.
She taught me so much in the short time she was with us
and for that I am very thankful.

Of course sweet Mona lost her true love, Tiger, and he
will always have a special spot too.

Losing the 5 as tragically as we did was a hard thing to deal
with and still is. Sometimes I can almost feel Shelby sitting
next to me and loving me as much as I did her.

Maybe it was God's way of preparing me for losing my
little man, Weenie, in such a tragic way on Memorial
Day. I didn't think I would lose him so soon and I still
haven't come to terms with that yet. Thanks to Mona
and Prissy I know I must. I posted this poem shortly after
the 5 left for the bridge and now it takes on even more
meaning now that Weenie has joined them.

IF TEARS COULD BUILD.

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane.
I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say "Goodbye".
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to love you
-No one can ever know.

But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more;
To remember all the happy times
life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today
~~A hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay~~

It isn't fair to Mona & Prissy but my heart has just not
been in the Chrismas spirit. I did decide to let the girls
be a part of  the Blogville Gift Exchange so today
I let them open it.

God Bless..........the Mommy Sarah

Mona & Prissy here..........

Now that Mommy is done lets get to the exciting stuff.

This box came for us but Mommy wouldn't let us open
it until all our house guests were gone...........

Yes....that card says Mona & Prissy so we think we should
have been allowed to open it upon arrival.

Lots and lots of stuffies and 2 blankets, one for each
of us.

Thank you so much Wallace and Penny for the super
fun presents. Mommy says we can take our blankets
to bed with us tonight. Just so you can see how much fun
we're having here is a little Smilebox Mommy just made.

Ms. Sarah,

I miss Weenie so much too. When my Mommy clicks on your blog to see your posts, I always look at little Weenie's picture at the heading. He was so cute and I loved hearing all his stories. I'm so glad he knew what true love was before he went to the bridge. You are the one who showed that to him. I even remember how you looked on the paper and realized his name was Weenie and you called his name and he turned his head around real fast and responded to it. He will never be forgotten and I'm so sorry for your pain. He is still with you and watching over you. Thanks for being such a great Mom to him.

Love, Cupcake
