Hi friends,

This post will be very brief tonight. Mommy really just doesn't feel well at all but there  is one quick thing she wants to share because time to vote is will be running out soon. Veterans Day is still a few days off but she found out that CNN is having a Hero Contest and a Houston area man is being recognized as one of the top ten heroes. You have to see KPRC Channel 2's broadcast about this Texan and what he does for our returning injured veterans.

One last thing,

Mommy got an e-mail, the other day, from a lovely lady that said she had just found my blog and had read the quote by Albert Schweitzer and wondered if Mommy had ever heard his  "Prayer For Animals". She hadn't and she cried when she read it. The nice lady has 4 dogs, all adopted and says they are her babies. Sure hope she has a blog. She sounds like our kinda friend. Below the prayer is a picture of her babies.

A PRAYER FOR ANIMALS


Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our

friends the animals,

especially for animals who are suffering;

for any that are hunted or lost or

deserted or frightened or hungry;

for all that must be put to death.

We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity,

and for those who deal with them we ask a

heart of compassion and gentle hands and

kindly words. Make us, ourselves, to be true

friends to animals and so to share the blessings

of the merciful.
