| Enjoy a fried chicken picnic lunch provided by ATDR along with games, a silent auction, and of course... a Hallowiener Costume Contest! PLEASE BRING BLANKETS, LAWN CHAIRS, & LEASHES! Date: Saturday, October 30th Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm Location: Barks 5th Avenue 10620 FM 1960 Rd W Houston, TX 77070 (281) 970-2284 Tickets 25.00 at the door per human. Doggies free!! Guess what? ATDR is opening up our Hallowiener Party to any kind of dog that wants to come this Saturday to our first ever Halloweiner Party and Picnic. There's gonna be fried chicken for the peeps, bobbing for wieners for us doggies, a costume contest, a silent auction with lots of goodies for dogs and peeps alike and lots, lots more. The price is 25.00 each for humans and doggies get in free with a leash. Minna Krebs and her new sister are coming with their Mommy cause they was adopted from ATDR you know and they live in Houston just like me.. I'm gonna see is if Mack and Ruthie can come. They don't live to far from Houston. I'm not sure who else lives around here. I know this is little late notice but I just found out yesterday that it's not just for our dachshunds. It would be a great opportunity for some of us DWB'ers to meet up. It has been forever since I last saw Aunt Judy's boys, my bestest friends. Mommy has been going through a Georgie withdrawl someting fierce. It's been so long since you last saw my buddies so just to refreash your memory here they are top to bottom. | I can't tell ya what I'm gonna be. It's a secret. I don't even know yet but I know it has something to do with a witch's hat and a lot of orange. Most of you have heard about my Mommy, right? She gots to wear a knee brace except when she sleeps and she hasn't been sleeping well because of the pain and now it hurts all up and down her leg. She's too stubborn to get the precripition filled the doctor gave her until pay day so she's just been taking her Arthritis medecine and Alieve. Well anyway the point is that she was gonna go see Shelby tonight but her leg started sweeling at work and she said the brace was chocking her so she took it--- "it's your leg, woman, not your throat" -- so she didn't go. She went to talk to Dr Briles after work yesterday and he said he is very worried about Shelby. He is concerned that if she keeps coughing up blood the worms might starting breaking up and that wasn't good. On Nov 6, Mommy and Sandra will take her to be Xrayed and that will tell us if she is stong enough to start the heartwormm treatments. Mommy talked to Sandra on her way home tonight and she told Mommy, Shelby has stopped coughing up blood and doesn't seem to be breathing as hard. She has been sleeping alot since the puppies left and is in her crate so she can't more around a lot. Dr Briles said it's best for her stay quite. |

Paws crossed for all. Mom needs to get her meds filled and take it easy. Here's hoping Shelby will be OK. We know you will have fun at the Halloween Party, and we hope lots of furiends can come too.
