EASTER HAPPENINGS, MY DUCK AND THE LITTLE FUFUS

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."
-- Bern Williams

Remember, yesterday, I said that Mommy had tricked me? Yesterday morning she was all excited because it was a beautiful morning and so she told me to go get my leash and we would go Azalea hunting. There's nothing that proves Spring is finally here to stay than azaleas growing everywhere. So we went driving around the neighborhood taking pictures, then we went down Imperial Valley to Aldine Bender and turned left. Cool, we're going on the other side of the freeway, I thought, where the bushes grow in all kinds of different colors. We went down one street and up the other but then turned right and in front of me was the dreaded place the, V E T's office. Then the car pulled into the parking lot and I knew she had tricked me. I WAS NOT HAPPY!!! Don't I look worried?

Something had to be wrong, It wasn't time for a SHOT. When we got inside Dr Briles gave Mommy 2 doses of medicine for me, a once a month Heartguard chewie and a flea pill. Now I don't want you to think that Mommy doesn't give me my monthly heart worm prevention on the first day of the month but this month I had to take a new kind because the pharmacist didn't deliver my new 6 month supply of Sentinel when they was supposed to. They told Mommy there was a mix up in the order and we wouldn't get it until Tuesday of next week. "No way!!! was I going without protection until April 6th" -- Mommy said!

She almost gave me a heart attack I tell you. Who wants to go to the VET during a holiday. The techs were all so happy to see me and when I showed off my diamond heart my Tiger gave me, they were all excited and swooning.

As we were waiting to pay, we saw 2 of the cutest dogs and of course Mommy had to ask if she could hold Rocky, the little chocolate lab. She started acting goofy like she does over any puppy she gets to hold. The other dog is his brother Buddy. They were both so cute!!

We did see some gorgeous flowers and Mommy wants to share some of them with you so she is posting throughout this post.

Then Mommy dropped me off at the house so she could go grocery shopping and told me she would have a Easter stuffie for me. After she unloaded the car, she let me come outside to see my stuffie.

OMD!! It's a duck and he's bigger than me ............

......... and he thought I was a horse.

That was all for Friday, except I got Mommy too but you gotta wait until the end of this post to see what she did last night.

This morning Mommy & I went to visit all the little baby Fu Fus. They was at their Bunny Hollow field, with their welcome sign out.

They was all hiding in the grass until their parents said it was OK to come out and play.
Then, guess what? They all climbed into a box to come home with me!!

Mr and Mrs Bunny Fu Fu asked me if I could bunny sit with them because tomorrow they will be busy hiding Easter eggs all over the world. Yes, me, Mona Mi Ricca will have 6 bunnies to play with until tomorrow night. Yahoo!! Yippee!!

Look what they brought Mommy, Easter eggs and Bunny cupcakes from Kroger's (chocolate, so I'd get any) ................

.......... and a little vanilla cake just for me!!

Now look what happened last night. We was watching TV, while Mommy was taking the cure, stretched out in her recliner and me laying on her belly. Then I heard something loud. I looked right, I looked left.......

.......... I turned my heard and this is what I heard and saw ...................

Mommy snoring away!!!! Got Ya Mommy!!!

Love, kisses and {{{{huggies}}}} to all........Mona

What beautiful azaleas. They aren't quite out yet around here, but soon. Sounds like you've had lots of Easter fun already, Mona. And it's good that they're taking such good care of you even if you did have to make an extra stop at the vet. Me, I'd rather go to the vet than the groomer any day.

Oh, and the flowers made my mom Most Happy. She said when she was a little girl in Oak-lah-home-ah, her family would all go to the Azalea Festival every year in a place called Muskogee and she luved it SO much! She says thank you for the trip down Memory Lane (wherever that is)!
