QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Cat's motto: No matter what you've done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it."

Prissy here,
Yesterday me and Mona was bad, but not me as bad as Mona was. Here's what happened. Mommy was in the computer room and we was outside playing. The doorbell started ringing and when Mommy answered the door it was the little girl that lives next door. She told Mommy we was outside the fence running around.
Well Mommy almost had a heart attack and ran
outside but first she grabbed our leashes. We was both in the little girls yard trying to get inside her backyard to play with her Che-weenie. Mommy called us and me, being the good girl that I am, came right back to her.
I know, I know, I shouldn't be gloating but I'm
usually the bad one. It's refreshing for a change. don't ya think?
The Mommy here......
In defense of the girls, they did not dig out of the yard. Someone came into the backyard and left the gate open. There was a basketball in the backyard that morning but it was gone when I got the girls back in the yard. I think one of the neighborhood kids came to get it and didn't close the gate. Regardless, I was terrified so
I'm going to invest in a lock and chain for the
fence.
I was very proud of Prissy for coming back when I called her and very surprised that Mona didn't. I could tell Mona knew she was in trouble because she climbed in her bed and wouldn't even look at me.
Mona here........
I am so ashamed. I didn't mean to scare Mommy but how could I pass up a "walkabout".

Oh Miss Sarah!
I have been in your shoes...but instead of an open gate and not knowing...I have opened the front door trying to squeeze out before any pugs could and have one or two fly out the door. I had to keep some neighborhood vehicles from hitting them by placing myself in the middle of the road. :) Yes, crazy pug lady...but they are my kids. And...as furious as I get with them, two seconds after I get inside they do something to make me laugh or give me a kiss as a haul their buns inside to say, "I'm sorry...let me make you happy." Thankfully, it doesn't happen as often as it used too. I cannot believe you didn't already have a lock on your gate. You must live in a safe neighborhood in Houston. We started locking our gates before the pugs came and when I had a golden retriever and black lab/blue heeler mix because the meter man would just open the gate and let them run off and let us pay fines for "dog at large." He should have been given the fine...but that was a long time ago and I should drop that frustration right now...but...to put my babies in danger because you are too lazy to admit that you let two large dogs out and they wouldn't return...seriously? Anywho...glad the girls are safe and I will quit my long rant.
Much Love,
Mindy :)
Oh no we are laughing at the thought of the little runaways but also know how sickening with worry such an incident is. So glad all was OK. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly

OUR mom has been in your mommy's shoes and she didn't like it one bit. Now we usually stay inside our alcatraz but gussie got out the other day and thought he needed to talk to the mean dogs next door, dad was watching us of course.
glad you are all safe.

Oh my! That sounds like quite an adventure!! I'm glad no one was hurt, even though it sounds like someone has selective hearing.
