A PRAYER FOR RAIN

This is a prayer for rain in those dry areas of America!!!

Please Join In!!

Please join us in a prayer circle.

Lets make this one of the largest prayer circles ever.

Over a thousand homes have burned in Texas alone.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You said whatsoever any two or more come together and agree and ask in Your Son's name, it shall be given. We come to you, humbly, and ask that you bring down the rain to our parched lands. Our farmers and ranchers need it desperately, as well as our firefighters. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen

Dearest friends,

In Mommy's 63 years she has never seen anything like this. The excessive heat has been almost to much to handle for man or beast. It feels like we have one foot in Hell and if this is what hell is like, we need to start praying lots harder.

The fires sweeping across Texas have started to hit even closer to home. Magnolia is only 42 miles from Houston. Many of our ATDR fosters have been forced to flew their homes. If you remember our Joanie, who came into rescue in April 2009 and left for the bridge in November 2009, her foster is one of them. They made it out along with the 13 pups under her and her husband's care. What's left of their place is unknown at this time. Most of those pups have problems, both physical and emotional and their place is or was a healing place with lots of room in the country for pups to heal until they are ready for adoption.

Mommy talked to Dachsies Rule, the DWB family that introduced us to blogging, and the fires as of yesterday were just across the river from where they live. That's were we go when we say we are going to the country. We worry about all our DWB Texas friends that live in the country or have weekend getaways there. Ruthie lives near where the fires are and Minna Krebs's Lucy could be in danger too.

Please help us keep the circle of prayer going.

Please!!!!

God Bless....Mona, Weenie & the Mommy too

If only we could package and send some of the rain we've had in Florida lately, we would send it straight to you guys. But the best we can do, I guess, is to pray for relief for Texas. It's in God's hands and have faith that he will take care of things.

We just joined in with the prayer circle and wish that rain would come your way real soon. We've been following this situation on the news and think it's just terrible. We also wish we could send you some of the rain we've been having here all week. And we will also not complain any more when it's too rainy out to go for our walkies, we only have to think of your situation and realize how lucky we are.

Sending prayers your way and to God's ears, Chewy & Lilibell

Hey Mona.
Wow, I'd love to take a bunch of our rain here and send it to you to help everyone out. Can't we find a way to do that? I'm sending warm vibes to everyone who is scared or has had a loss.

I was just thinking it would be nice to have rain here too, if only to cool it down a bit here.

But I hope you get it there, y'all need it a LOT more!

We are crossing our paws and saying extra prayers for all those who need rain...and especially for those who have lost their homes and those spending their time and risking their lives battling the fires.

We here in Adelaide know all about hot and crispy summers. We are famous for our high dry heat - and I'm not looking forward to it at all.

Here's to rain on your end!!!

We are thinking of everyone in the Lone Star state each and every day when we offer our prayers to the Heavens. I keep asking myself, "how much can one state take?" I guess we won't know until the fires are all out.

BTW, I received my auction items. My gosh, they are GORGEOUS! I don't think I'll just have them out during the holidays. The darling dish will be lovely in my guest bathroom holding little soaps and a finger tip towel or possibly some mints.
