“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
Josh Billings quotes (American Humorist, 1818-1885)
"Mona!!! Mona!! I heard Mommy talking to Aunt Judy just now and guess what?" "What Weenie?". "They're going to a birthday party tomorrow and we get to go!!" "What ya talking about, Weenie? We never get to go one of them ATDR birthday luncheons." "But this one is different!! It's gonna be at Susan and Bill's new house and it's gonna be Miss Diana's birthday, doggie play date and a BBQ." "WOW!!!"
Well looks like we're going to be busy tomorrow. Time to party again!! This time with our city friends. I should have know something was happening when Mommy walked in with 2 pies from the Flying Saucer Pie Company. She don't go there unless it's for a special occasion. We'll tell ya all about it tomorrow. They're gonna have Bambie Burgers.
OK...now on to Day 2 of our country trip:
In no particular order here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.
Weenie eating mulch from the flower bed.
Me -- Notice the look in my eyes.......somebody help me!!
Here's the reason why...........Emma
and some more. We do a lot of sniffing around.
Aunt Becky being loved on by 5 of my country friends.
One of the main things we do in the country is keep a lookout for cowdoys. Andy & Sammy looking out the front window.
Sherman taking his position on the back of the couch....
Looks like he found some!
Shermie still on duty......
Cowdogs on the other side of the fence so off we went..........
to scare them off.....
it worked, this time. Weenie couldn't see them but he barked at them anyway!!
OK....does anybody know what kind of bug this is. It freaked Mommy out when she saw it. You know after the spider bite she panics easy now. Those aren't his eyes on the top of his head. Aunt Mary said they was spots but Mommy didn't stick around long enough to find out.
The 3 Mommies sat outside on the porch a lot at night watching the stars and gossiping. Aunt Mary's new house has a wrap around porch that has ceiling fans on it, a misting system to kill the mosquitos and speakers outside. They found a station called Malt Shop Oldies that played oldies from the 50's - 70's, right up there when the Mommy was a sweet young thing, like a 100 years ago.
Here are some of my friends watching the star too.
Weenie didn't care if it was dark or not........
he just likes to wander around with his nose to the ground.
Another very important thing to do in the country is take plenty of naps off and on all day long. It's hard work barking at cowdogs, chasing squirrels and sniffing around.
{{{huggies}}}....Mona & Weenie
