ODDS & ENDS THIS & THAT

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in."
--- Mark Twain

Hi dear friends,

Remember last night I told you Mommy was gonna be off for 3 whole days? Well she spent most of the first day without me!! So unfair. Mommy loves dachsies, everybody knows that, but today we missed a dachsie play date and shopping at a pet boutique with the other Mommies. I know it's hard to believe, but some times ya gotten make plans to be with your human family. So Mommy and my real Aunt Pam went visiting two of the cousins, who lost their husbands last year. They had a great visit, a great lunch of garlic scrimp and noodles, and spent hours going through old family records and documents for a scrape book they are making for the next Bono family reunion. Actually it's gonna be the history of the first Bono to come from Sicily in 1910 until now.

So today's post is just odds and ends, this and that. Just some things and people that we like, love and care about. All connected by two words "Friends & Family".

My brother Peanut and Uncle Ron.

Mommy got these snow pictures this week of my very handsome brother Pea Daddy, formally Peanut, of the first major snowstorm they got this winter. You notice I said first? They have had several in their part of Texas. Uncle Ron said Pea Daddy loves it and he has to force him to come inside. The boy is weird, I tell you!

Frankie Furter

My fantastic friend Frankie Furter, who sent me a lovey card and a green paper donation to help DROH take care of the Alvin pups. Thanks is not enough my dear friend. "Don't be mad at me for using this picture from your 2010 calender, but it looks so Springy and we are really ready for the Spring." It's called the Putunia Boy.

Sophie Michelle

My sweet little friend Sophie, who got a haircut her Mommy was not pleased with. The first picture was her Christmas picture. Shes supposed to be a Maltese. The second picture was taken last weekend and her Mommy says she looks like a poodle now. I love poodles, like my cousin Tippy & the Two Country poodles, so I don't see a problem and she is adorable either way.

And then, look what Mommy got Wednesday. A very late Christmas pressie!!! For her not me from Aunt Tina, Chris and Emily. Has it been that long since we have seen them. My Mommy has a problem, she has been biting her nails all her life, ever since she was a child, so she decided to go get some fake ones put back on or bite them to the quick. "Very ugly on a 62 year old woman" .... bitten nails not fake ones that make good belly scratchers.

Anyway, she called them and asked if they'd like to meet her for dinner. Again food without me! So they met at Los Cucos and and as they were leaving, Emily said she had to get something out of their car.

Mommy's Christmas Present

It's a long, lonooooog wiener dog. Your supposed to use it to stop drafts from coming under your doors during the winter but Mommy is using it as a pillow. Samantha used to wrap herself around Mommy's neck on the back of her recliner. We named it Samantha. Now Mommy can have both her girls with her when we take nappies or watch TV.

Just where would be without our friends & family.

Love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all.......Mona

Are Butterscotch and Brofur just the cutest cats? And Khyra's Mom is so good to them, she even made them a kitty condo to protect them from the snow.

Loved seeing the pics of Uncle Ron and Peanut.

Hope you can enjoy two more days with just Mommy.
