Prayer---"Please Lord make the cold go away!!!"

Hi friends,

Sorry we haven't been posting this week. Our computer is great, except we still can't load videos on it either. It's all the Mommy fault, she is just too tired after work to do anything. Her department started a project a week ago Monday that was supposed to be finished by Friday but wasn't. So everybody had to work all day on Saturday and Sunday. Today is the 10th day in a row she has worked and there are still 2 more days to work before the weekend. Mommy is getting to old to work like that...."don't tell anybody, but Mommy's birthday is tomorrow and she's gonna be 62 years old....that's ancient!!"

I begged Mommy to let me tell you something. IT IS WAY TOO COLD!! Some dogs might like snow but most dachshunds hate being cold and don't like playing or even walking in snow. All of my friends, me and Mommy too.....sorry Khyra and Skye. Today was the first day in over a week that it hasn't frozen every morning. Mommy says somebody named Arthur RI Tis is killing her 62 year old bones.

What is it about snow that would make a perfectly sane dog like Mango

do this with Dexter?

Here are few of my DWB dachshund friends that aren't fond of snow either.

Twix almost buried in snow.

Twix napping after being stuck in the snow

Frankie Furter, the look says it all.

Now we only got snow one day in Houston this winter, so far, but the cold is unbearable. Mommy said she is so glad I know how to use pee pads because I refuse to go outside.

This is my friend, Happy. Her Mom Paula takes her out in this coat cause she is a smooth hair and gets really cold. "I got long hair right now, so if I'm cold, you know how cold Happy must be!!"

By now everybody should know Aunt Judy's piebalds, Bandit & Brooklyn.
Mommy's favorite boy, George, insists on going a morning walk every day and and Aunt Judy took these pictures after a walk when in was very cold last week. All four of her dogs and her too, were shriving when they got back. Bandit and Brooklyn huddled up on the sofa and then Aunt Judy took these 2 pictures.

Not sure what happened but Mommy couldn't this one to post big so you need to click to make it bigger. This picture is priceless.

Proof positive.............dachshunds don't like the cold or snow!!!

If you look at the top of my sidebar, you will see we have added something new. Each week Mommy has decided to post a new picture of one of the DROH's rescues. We will never run out of dachsies to show because there are always more being rescued, sad to say but true.
Gotta go now.....love, kisses and {{{huggies}}} to all....Mona

Sorry you and the Mommy don't like the cold, Mona. Our Mom isn't too crazy about it either, but we must admit we do love it. Hope you can get some warm temps soon, but we want to hold onto our cold:)

I love the job you did putting this post together. Smart and nicely done. I was thinking about all those snow lovers and you brought many of them together today :)

The snow is indeed crazy making.

I know what you mean about your mom. Sometimes when mine gets home from the work place she says that she just doesn't have any brains left.

Spoken in true Doxie style, Mona! And I couldn't agree more, what is wrong with these pups that go out and play in that nasty stuff? Ours is finally starting to disappear....it has been here since Christmas eve.
Tell your Momma happy late Birthday!
