Hi friends,
There will be no flower or doggie spotlighted tonight. It wouldn't be fair to post a picture of one of our beloved friends in the same post as the Monster Michael Vick.
Mommy was shocked when she heard that this worthless waste of a man and CONVICTED animal killer was being allowed back into the NFL. Why would the Philadelphia Eagles even think of offering this piece of trash at place on their team. Mommy is furious and as far as she is concerned she will never watch another NFL football game. What kind of signal is this giving the world? That it is OK to kill a dog and say you are sorry and everything be OK. So today football does not exist for Mommy anymore.
We are wiping for feet & paws of the NFL and just like this little doggie, I'd like to bury Michael Vick in a hole and pile a truckload of poop on his sorry head.
Or better yet, Mommy says she would exile him to a field full of cactus and throw him on them to rot.

i agree!
That's right,
We don't want to minimize or maximize michael vick, we X him out of our doggy lives, furever!
Now we talk about beautiful things, like your smile in the previous post, like your grandpa's banana story, like all the pretty flowers your mom uses to decorare your blog.
Is it coincident or what, you talked about the unlucky opossom recently, here in Dallas we met a possum who lives in our back yard, I'll email you the picture.
Love ya.
Hello!
I just found your blog and totally agree with the anger towards Michael Vick. I am so glad that people like you are making it a point to say how awful he is. He truly shouldn't be forgiven. I just learned that he not only used his dogs for fighting, but would unnecessarily kill the dogs that refused to fight in the worst way. Is that true that he would drown them or even hang them? How was he the highest paid football player at one time. What a worthless person. It just goes to show where peoples priorities are these days. I am sure there are plenty of good players that could take his place. Anywho, I am just freshly annoyed with that and then your wonderful post got me all fired up about it. I am glad to meet you and would love it if you stopped by my blog sometime to meet my Africa. I hope you find her worthy for your special friends list. She would be so flattered! Thanks for all that you do!

I really hate that Michael Vick is permitted to play football. It is sending a wrong message especially to children that look up to football players.
I don't believe that the NFL should have let him back in but just because the NFL let him back in didn't mean that a team HAD to pick him up.
A stand up team with good core values would not bring that type of person into their organization. I know that Khyra is an Eagles fan and don't mean to offend her with this statement, but what was their head coach thinking letting that type of trash into their organization. They should have more pride in their football history and set a good example for children. Being from Pennsylvania, I expect more from the teams in my state and I am embarrassed by the decision that they have made.
Great post and we hope that your mommy is feeling much better today!

My Mom and Dad think that Michael Vick should be slathered in bacon grease and tossed into the nearest dog park with a high fence. I agree with Mom and Dad.

We saw MV on 60 Minutes Sunday and he sure didn't appear too sorry for what he had done to us! We really had hoped that this evil person would be sitting home watching the NFL - certainly not playing in it!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Hi, Mona & Mommy...
We totally agree...
We like Fiona's "Bacon Grease/Dog Park/High Fence" idea...

My Old Girl and I totally agree that he should not be playing, that no team should have accepted him and that he should be punished for what he did.
I also don't know if he's truly sorry because I haven't seen the interview, but most people who have seen it said he did not seem sorry.
But in my little Bichon opinion, if (and it's a big "if") he is truly sorry and asks God to forgive him, God will--just like I think God forgives any of us who do something wrong and ask for forgiveness. And if Vick was truly sorry for everything he did, and if God forgave him for that, I think I could, too.
But, again, those are big ifs. In the meantime, we'll keep pulling for the Cowboys. ;)
I totally agree with you!!! Im sooooo angry about this. Not really surprised but still angry. I added that same pic (vick with red slash over it) to my blog! I dont watch football to start with but def wont now!
I second that!!!! Mom read an article that said he cried in prison. WE DON'T CARE!!!!

Hello again!
I would feel honored to have Africa and the baby spotlighted on your blog. I am on vacation, but when I get home I will most definitely email you a picture. Thank you!

Totally agree. I saw him on 60 minutes (it's online) and he didn't seem sorry about anything but losing his money. I think the laws about this stuff need to be stronger.
Hi, Mona and Mommy! Well stated about M.V. It's confusing. He doesn't even seem fazed by the suffering that happened. It's horrible.
On a lighter note, we LOVE that picture of you smiling with your "happy face" from a previous post. So cute! :) Frankie
Hi Mona,
Yes, it's a terrible thing and it seems as though he is being rewarded for commiting such a horrible crime.
But not to worry, what goes around, comes around! Someone much larger then the NFL is watching him.
Luv,
Riley and Star.

We agree...he is only sorry because he got caught. Had he not be caught he'd still be doing the unspeakable.

Well said, Mona! While I do believe that people should get second chances, I don't believe they should just have life handed to them on a silver platter. It is very hard for me to imagine he regrets what he did. If he had a heart at all he would not have been able to torture those dogs the way he did.
Snuggles,
