"When some men go to the dogs, it's pretty tough on the dogs."
Hi dear friends,
Mommy is very sad and nothing anybody has done seems to cheer her up. She was been thinking about Angel Samantha a lot this week. If she were still with Mommy she would be 19 years old this coming Monday. Dr Ruth, Samantha's Vet, knew that Mommy would be thinking about that terrible week when the decision was made to let Samantha go. It has been more than 4 years since Mommy helped Samantha go to the bridge. Dr Ruth called Mommy today and told her to remember that she had me now and that she should remember all the dachshunds that she has helped since Samantha went to the bridge. She told Mommy that had she not lost Samantha, she would never have gotten involved with DROH and would still be mopping around like she did for months after Samantha left. I wouldn't be here now asking for your help to cheer her up if she still had her first little girl. Today Mommy cried at work for a long time and all her co workers were worried about her but when she told them she was thinking about Samantha, one of then said "it's only a dog". That was not the thing to say to Mommy. They are not "dog people" like all our peoples are. That's why we haven't posted but once this week. Mommy says she just doesn't feel like doing anything but sleep.
But life must go on and so I asked Mommy to let me show you pictures of things that should have cheered her up. First off, I haven't seen Feebee in a couple of days and I am getting worried. I been looking and looking, standing at the fence but no Feebee. I asked Mommy to go check and she looked in the berry bush (no berries yet) where you saw Feefee go in the last video I posted. But no Feebee. I hope she hasn't run away.
This is a closeup of where she went.
So my Aunt Judy has been sending Mommy funny stuff, that made me laugh if not Mommy. Mommy thought they was cute but.......
Here are a few:
Talk about inbreeding................
Mommy did she a tree today that she really liked. She had never seen one multicolored like this one is. There are lots of pretty flowers growing around our neighborhood, so tomorrow Mommy said we might drive around taking pictures. Beautiful flowers are her passion so its worth a try.
As most everybody knows, Mommy was born and raised a TEXAN. She might be an Italian American but after that honor she is a TEXAN through and through. I'm German but I'm a Texan too just like Mommy. Now this little video Aunt Judy sent made her smile. Most of them places she has been to and since me and Mommy travel around a lot, I've been to some of them places too!!
This little video was taken this afternoon. Since I couldn't find Feebee, I did a bit of roaching instead.
