Hi dear friends,

It is Friday morning and Mommy took the day off to get ready for our day trip to the country tomorrow, so my city friends can met my country friends. Mommy is washing a load of clothes right now that have what she calls her "sitting around, I don't care what happens to them" pair of slacks and old Christus T-shirt in it. Mommy is so excited about having me and 8 other dachshunds to play with that she is gonna wear the oldest, most comfortable clothes and tennis shoes she owns because she fully expects to have 36 paws crawling all over her.

First off Mommy has something to get off her chest. Why is it that whenever she takes a day off, and everybody else has to work, does she always have to work late ever night that week? And it's no overtime because she is having today off and you gotta work 40 hours straight to get overtime. She has been so tired after work, all we do is eat dinner and then go to bed. She has been too tired to help me do any posts, it's almost like we didn't even get our computer back and working. I'll tell you why. Because nobody does her work when she is gone!! But let's forget about for now cause its almost party time!!

Guess what?? We got's us a camera!!!! Yahoo!! Yippie!!

Yes, Yes, Yes.....we finally have a new camera. It was a very unexpected gift from very dear, dear friends and we can't thank them enough. It is going on the trip with us and gonna be used non stop. Mommy said she wants to try to get a video of all 9 of us dogs together. There will be 3 girls and 6 boys and, of course, 4 Mommies there.

Everybody knows how much Aunt Mary & Mommy like to sit on the rockers on the front porch, but this time Aunt Judy and Aunt Becky (Mary's sister) will be there too. I only see 2 rockers in the picture above. This should be interesting.


Remember how I said Mommy is gonna wear her oldest clothes. The above picture is the reason why. Mommy was laying on the couch taking a snooze when this shot was taken. Just imagine 6 more doggies all over her. I think you get the picture!!





Every doggie, kitty, Mommy and Daddy should know all my friends by now but Mommy decided she wanted you to see all of them again so when we post again, there will be lots of pictures with taken with my new camera!!, you will remember who is who.

Mommy just thought of something!! Can you guess?

This little day trip could be considered a dachshund mini reunion. All of my friends and me too were adopted from Dachshund Rescue of Houston except for Roxie. Mommy says what it means, besides a dream come true, is 4 Mommies that were foster failures more than once each. That's why she wonders how anybody could give a adopted doggie back. It makes no sense to her but then life often doesn't make sense.

Before we go, its almost time to leave to go to Aunt Judy's to spend the night, I have one one more thing to say.

Mommy is such a procrastinator!! Has been her whole entire life!!!

Back in January we did a post about how much she missed by brother, Jacks. We said we wanted to do a post about brothers and sisters. Well that was more than 3 months ago and have you seen a post like that?

NO!!! So we are going to try again. Angel Samantha's birthday is coming up on June 15, so I have given Mommy a deadline. Maybe that will keep her busy enough until then to keep her mind off what would have been Samantha's 19th birthday.

This is the picture of me and Jacks, that Mommy had on our January 29th post and a little segment of that post. Please come be a part of that post and keep your fingers cross that she doesn't procrastinate again.
