Hi my dear friends,
Mona.........
If you read my previous post, you all know that I was a naughty doggie. Sometimes I just can't help myself. When I see wide open spaces, I just have to go exploring. I always wanted to go play with the cow dogs and well it just happened.......that road looked so inviting and some little devil inside of me took over. The Mommy said I should be ashamed of myself for scaring her and Aunt Mary. The Mommy is gonna tell ya exactly what happened, but before that I wanted to show you a picture of all of us doggies.
The Mommy..........
Let me set the stage for Mona's little escapade. Mary & I were trying to get back into the inner yard gate when Mona managed to get out before we could close the gate. In the outer yard there is fencing, except at the gate, so the dogs are never allowed in that area unless they are leashed.
As you can see, the gap under the gate is big enough for a dog Mona's size to go under. If you follow the road, you can see where it curves to the left and then disappears around the bend.
Both Mary & I yelled and screamed at her to stop but as I'm sure you have heard Dachshunds have selective hearing and only come when they choose to. I ran to get the car and Mary ran to unlock the big gate. I could see was Mona running down the road and then she stopped, starting sniffing the ground.....then started ROACHING in a big pile of cow poop!!
THE ROAD
Just after she finished roaching she turned, saw the car and thinking I was leaving without her, trotted over to the car, jumped into the front seat onto my lap and started covering me in 'poopie kisses' YUCK!!!!!! Needless to say, I was relieved but not very happy with my naughty daughter.
THIS IS HOW SHE TURNED AND SAW THE CAR.
I wasn't worried about not being able to catch her, BUT.................
I wasn't worried about not being able to catch her, BUT.................
These guys were right across the road from where she was roaching, watching her the whole time. Even the baby in the front could have stomped on her or worse.
I would never hit Mona in anyway but she got a good scolding and she hid under the coffee table until I calmed down. Don't worry she came out an hour later and all was forgiven........EXCEPT she stunk like a shunk!!
I was able to load a few videos when we got back home, so I wanted to share them with you. Whenever Mary & I went somewhere, we left them in their pin. This is what happened every time we came back.
This next video is just one of the many I took of the kids. Let me emphasize, that no animals were hurt during the filming of this video.
Mona......
I think I got lucky because the Mommy has forgiven me. It's a good thing this happened after Santa Paws came or I for sure wouldn't have gotten anything. I've got to put the Mommy to bed now but she took so many pictures that it will take all week to show most of them. This time she only took 115 pictures and 6 videos, so stay tuned.
Love, kisses and huggies to all........Mona

aww Mona, there you are...we loved looking at your pictures...oh I do hope that you learned your lesson and that you wont scare mommy again *wet licks* I can sometimes be just like you. I gave mommy the worst nightmare when I got lost in our vacation in Austria -- I try hard to be a good boy, but sometimes, it isn't easy (just like you said, I can't help myself)

What an adventure. Love the pics and videos.
1 thing Ive found with cows and calfs, unless the dog is braking its head of at them and trying to bite them, they tend to not care much about dogs LOL
How many baths have you had so far, Mona?! hehehehe
Love ya lots

Mona,
We sure had a good time while you visited with us. Thank you again for all of the nice stuffies! Most of them even still have stuffing in them. We liked visiting with your Mommy too. Our mommy just got busy cleaning up after you left and didn't show us any attention at all. We hope you will be able to come back soon!
Hi, Mona!
I loved the happy barking happy tails video!
Those cow dogs are scary! Glad you were not near to them!
