MOMMY'S HURT LEG AND BIG PINKIE POO VS PRECIOUS MONA LISA

11 MORE DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN QUOTE OF THE NIGHT:

"Beware of things that go bump in the middle
                                 of the night."

Hi my friends,

My Mommy wants to thank everybody for the good wishes and prayers you have sent her way since she hurt her leg. Yesterday she went to her Orthopedic doctor and got some good news but also some really bad news.

1st the good news......the injury to the calf is a pulled muscle which just has to heal itself, it never did hurt, and the pain in her knee has nothing to do with the surgery Mommy had 3 years ago when we had to give my brothers back to DROH. The fact that it wasn't a blood clot and wasn't related to her prior knee surgery made her VERY excited. She can handle Arthritis, she's had it in her back, knees and neck since 1974, when she had  back surgery....the gift you are given when you have almost any kind of bone surgery.

Now the bad news.....Dr Criswell ordered X-Rays on her knee. Then he said she has severe Arthritis in her left knee. The injury to the calf made it even worse. He gave her a shot of cortisone directly into the bone and fitted her for a knee brace. That was bad enough BUT
he said she is headed for a total knee replacement soon. She told him NO!,
that as long as she was walking she was fine. He told her she wouldn't be walking much longer but that he would see how things go with the brace, shot and some heavy duty pain medication. They are going to discuss it again after the holidays. Dang it!!! She is so stubborn.

OK!! Now lets talk about me. You remember my bestest, most favorite stuffie, Big Pinkie Boo. I play with him all the time, drag him to bed at night and greet Mommy at the door every day when she get home from work. I was so disappointed when Mommy wouldn't let me take him to College Station when went to the WeinerFest. She was afraid I'd lose him and I would have been decimated if that happened. So instead we took Baby Girl.

Big Pinkie Poo

Remember my Baby Girl and me waiting for customers in the kissing booth?
I am so ashamed of myself. I had stopped playing with her, when Mommy gave me Big Pinkie Poo. It just wasn't right to reject her  like that. A got my Baby Girl on my Gotcha Day 2008 and Big Pinkie Poo for my Gotcha day this year.

Precious Mona Lisa
So Mommy and I went down memory lane today, when I met her at the door this evening with my Baby Girl instead of Pinkie Poo. I've been playing with her ever since we got back from College Station. For those of you who were around in 2008, you might remember that I asked for suggestions on what to name my new Baby Girl. I got lots of responses from some of you and on my Feb 21, 2008 post, I told the world what my Baby Girl's legal name was gonna be with help from some of my best DWB friends. The name on her birth certificate is
 My Precious Mona Lisa.

Maggie and Mitch choose the name Precious.
Dachsies Rule choose Lisa

So my Baby Girl was named after Me, her Mommy.

{{{Huggies}}}....Mona

PS.....Big Pinkie Poo still comes to bed with me, so don't worry. I haven't forgotten him. He just has to get used to Baby Girl being there too.

I am very sorry about your Mommy's knee. That is a total drag. I think knees are a defective part on humans anyway. They have lots of trouble with them. I hope she feels much better and that she doesn't have to have surgery.

lotsa licks, Lola

We are glad to hear the good news, but the bad news is just too bad. But we think Mom needs to give some consideration to that knee replacement. It seems like it is very successful now. Hope the brace helps some.

I hope your Mommy doesn't have to have her knee replaced. I don't like going to the horsepital either, on the other paw, if she does get a new knee then she will feel better.

I'm glad to know you care so much about your stuffies. They are very important. I'm sure they are so happy to be with you.

Love, Cupcake

Oh Mona, I'm so sorry to hear your mom might need knee replacement surgery. That's awful! Nobody likes surgery.

I love both of your toys. If my boys had them, they'd be torn to shreds in no time. Shiver likes to chew holes in his stuffies and spread the stuffing all over the house. Your toys look brand new.

Hey Mona!
Sorry to hear about your Mom. You'll have to give her lots of licks and cuddles so she knows you are taking care of her. Love the pix of your favorite pink toy.

I hope your mommies knee gets better without replacement.

I bet your toys will all get along if you explain things to them.
